Wilderness Trail Distillery is continuing to expand with its recent purchase of about 12 acres from the Boyle County Industrial Foundation.
Shane Baker, one of the owners of the distillery said in an email that the property will be used for additional parking during the upcoming Kentucky State BBQ Festival in early September. Eventually, the land will be used for more barrel warehouses.
Baker said the distillery had already been using the property for “construction-related activities,” and parking during the Taste of Danville event in the spring.
The 12-acre parcel was purchased for $164,402 and is located behind the historical home used as the distillery’s visitors center.
Wilderness Trail Distillery, located on Lebanon Road, now owns more than 44 acres, according to Baker.
“As our budgets allow, we intend to acquire more land for continued growth.”
