Nancy Crowe Griffin

Nancy Crowe Griffin, 78 of Hustonville, passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ with her family at her side on Friday, August 10, 2018. This ended her struggle with late stage cancer. Nancy has been reunited with her husband of 53 years, Elzie Lee Griffin, as well as her brothers, sisters, mother and father, granddaughter, and numerous friends. Nancy was one of ten children born to Charlie and Sara Turpin Crowe of Casey County. Gardening, quilting, reading her Bible, singing gospel music and playing her guitar were among many things that Nancy loved. She was a member of Maxey Valley Gospel Singers and a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church. She and Elzie are survived by three sons: Larry (Charlotte Nolan) Griffin, Kenny (Melonie Trent) Griffin, and Danny (Mary Trent) Griffin, all of Casey County; one daughter, Carolyn (Ronnie) Brown of Lincoln County; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, J.T. (Mildred) Crowe of Somerset and Donnie (Connie) Crowe of Hustonville; and many nieces and nephews. A private viewing will be held at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A Memorial Service for the public will be held at Hall Hill Cemetery at 1 pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2018. It was Nancy’s desire that her body be cremated, which she arranged with W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home before her death, and that her ashes be returned to the Earth along side her husband. Nancy was a friend to all, loved all children, and proudly served her Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices in her rest from her struggle, and her new life in Heaven with those she loved. Guestbook@ www.wlpruitt.com.
