St. Sylvester Catholic Church to hold fish fry
St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Ottenheim will hold a fish fry Friday, Aug. 31 from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $6 a plate. For more information, call (606) 669-3255. All proceeds go to the building fund.
First Baptist Church Perryville anniversary
First Baptist Church Perryville will be celebrating its 151st anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 5 p.m. There will be a gospel songfest featuring The Moore Sisters, Destined for Purpose, Terry Brooks and First Baptist Church Springfield Brotherhood.
On Sunday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m., the guest will be Rev. Dr. Robert Blythe, First Baptist Church, Richmond. Dinner will be served following the morning service. The public is invited. All donations will benefit the Amelia Sleet-Burton Colored Schoolhouse building fund.
Homecoming at New Life House of Worship
New Life House of Worship, 7350 Hwy. 643, Crab Orchard, will hold homecoming services on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. Special singing by Voices of Praise.
Hope and Help Crusade
The Hope and Help Crusade is set for Sunday through Wednesday, Aug. 26-29. On Sunday, Aug. 26, the crusade begins at 5 p.m. with children’s activities. The Monday through Wednesday services all begin at 7 p.m., with youth night on Monday; hope and help night on Tuesday; and community night on Wednesday.
The crusade will take place at The Showroom, located at the corner of the U.S. 127 bypass and Ky. 34. Dr. Don Whitt will be the crusade evangelist. For more information, call Jim Clontz at (859) 238-7624.
