Published 6:21 am Tuesday, August 28, 2018

Our featured pets for this week are Lincoln and Chet.

Lincoln is a perky and sweet 4 ½ month-old buff tabby. He’s a handsome fellow, with a pale yellow coat and deep golden eyes. Lincoln has a playful disposition. He’s very inquisitive and yet loves attention and interaction with people. Lincoln was a stray, brought in with his sister, Tilly, also a beautiful buff tabby. Lincoln will be a most handsome addition to any family looking for a great feline companion!

Chet is a way too cute 5 ½ month-old mixed breed puppy. He is white with brindle spots including patches over both eyes. This sweet fellow may be part heeler and part hound. Chet is a chunky fellow and weighs 30 lbs. now so he will be a medium to large size dog when full grown. Chet is ready and willing to learn. He will be a wonderful friend and loyal companion if you choose him for adoption!

Did you know that each year over 2,000 animals are brought to the Danville- Boyle County Humane Society? Many are from unwanted litters or are surrendered by people who can no longer care for their pets due to loss of income, illness or moving. These are wonderful animals that have a lot of love to share if given another chance to find their forever home! If you are considering adding a pet to your family, please come to our adoption center on the Danville Bypass next to the fairgrounds, and visit the beautiful animals waiting for new homes.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes.  Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
