This week at the Boyle County Public Library,  September 1-2

The Boyle County Public Library offers many fun, educational events throughout the year. Weekly programs include Adult Storytime 9 a.m. Mondays, Coding Classes 4 p.m. Mondays, Crafters Who Care 6 p.m Mondays, and Storytimes on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

This upcoming week, the library will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.

In addition to these weekly events, the following library-sponsored programs are scheduled for this week:

Oreo Tasting Challenge for Teens; 4 p.m. Tuesday. Participants, ages 13-18, are invited to guess each flavor of Oreo. The one with the most correct guesses will win a prize.

Science in Play 2Go grand opening: 4 p.m. Thursday. The public is invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony at the library to celebrate the grand opening of Science in Play 2 Go (SIP2GO), the Kentucky Science Center’s interactive traveling exhibit. This hands-on science exhibit is free and open to all. The ribbon cutting ceremony and launch party are co-sponsored with the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. SIP2GO will be on display at the library until Dec. 2.

LEGO Club: 4 p.m. Friday. Held in the Storytime Room, finished creations will be placed on display in the library.
