DBCHS Pets of the week, September 19

Published 6:36 am Wednesday, September 19, 2018

This week our featured pets are Brady and Calvin.

Brady is a handsome four-month-old Maine Coon mix kitten. He has a gorgeous medium length orange coat and big golden eyes. Brady was a stray, but he is a very friendly boy. He loves to be carried around and cuddling is right up his alley. Brady would be a great fit for most any family that is looking for a lovable kitten that is sure to grow into a most striking adult cat with a charming disposition!

Calvin is a sweet one-year-old mixed breed dog. He has a light tan, almost white, coat and he weighs less than 30 pounds. Calvin was a little shy when he first came to the humane society, but is doing much better. He gets long with other dogs and walks well on leash. Calvin would love to have a home where he will get plenty of love and attention. A little TLC will go a long with this smart little fellow and he is sure to be a loyal and loving companion if you choose him for adoption!

The humane society is caring for lots of puppies and kittens right now. We are in special need of donations of clumping cat litter along with cleaning supplies such as paper towels, bleach, liquid laundry detergent, dish detergent and hand soap and sanitizer. Monetary donations are always welcome and used to help us care for the animals while they wait for their forever home. The generous support of our community is greatly appreciated.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet overpopulation by having your pet spayed or neutered.
