The Garrard Community Art Center fundraiser, Summer Sizzle Karaoke Contest, has announced the winners from Saturday. Money raised from this event goes toward the renovation of the new Community Art Center across from the Grand Theater. This was the last round before the Grand Finale on Sept. 22 at the Lancaster Grand Theater.

Winners from the Stanford event on Sept. 7 were Ricky Simmerman, first; Kenneth Morgan, second; Danielle Smith, third; and David Reick, Golden Buzzer as selected by the audience. Winners from the Leo’s event in Lancaster were Alysson Faulconer, first; Dorothy Wethington, second; Casey “Toast” Underwood, third; and Zari Ramirez, Golden Buzzer for best crowd response.

The grand finale will take place on stage at the Lancaster Grand on Sept. 22. Third-place contestants sing at 4 p.m., with second-place singing at 5 p.m. for a place in the finals at 6:30 p.m.

Food trucks will be on-site at 4 p.m. The Cone Zone will be selling steak sandwiches, blooming onions, pizza cones, hamburgers and hot dogs. Whole Latte Love will be selling desserts.
