During the month of September 2018, there were 18 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were two fatal collisions during the month of September in the Post 15 area. John Crister, 32 years old of Casey County, was killed on September 22 in Casey Co;

Shannon Akers Johnson, 36 years old of Green County, was killed on September in Green County.

This brings our yearly fatality count to 23 compared with 14 through this same period in 2017. Statewide fatality count stands at 523 compared with 567 through this same period in 2017.

During the month of September 2018, there were 843 citations written, 221 courtesy notices written, 776 vehicles inspected, 569 complaints answered, 67 motorists assisted, 66 criminal cases opened and 205 criminal arrests made.
