Dear Editor,

As a Danville resident, taxpayer, and voter, I’d like to lend my humble voice to support a good man running for the Danville School Board. That man is Steve Becker.

There are several reasons to cast your vote for him. Some examples include: transparency, experience, his education, problem solving skills and more. However, if I were to choose the one single asset Steve possesses that makes all the other reasons more applicable, it’s his passion for the Danville school system.

Sounds cheesy, I’ll admit. Should you take a look at his social media pages and/or talk with parents of Danville students, you’ll find that Steve supports the students scholastically, athletically and beyond. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who attends more school-related events than Steve … should that person work for the school or be a parent. As a resident without a child in the school system, I, personally, rely on his Facebook page to inform me of all that is going on.

You are encouraged to NOT take my word for it. Ask any of his colleagues and/or parents from Danville schools that have ever worked with him their opinion. Even better, should you see Steve around town, ask him directly his position on any school-related concerns and you’ll see for yourself. There are good candidates, but, in my opinion, Steve Becker is the best choice.
