Ball for Danville school board

Published 6:47 am Thursday, October 11, 2018

I’m writing this letter on behalf of Glenn Ball, candidate for the Danville school board. Glenn was born and raised in Danville. He graduated from Bate High School in 1960. He excelled in academics and in sports.

He’s currently an active member of the Bate High School Alumni Association. He holds several post-graduate degrees from Tennessee State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Middle Tennessee State University. After retirement, he and his wife returned to Danville. For the past two years, he’s been a substitute teacher and a mentor to our students.

Glenn wants to be on our school board to look after the welfare of all students regardless of race or academic ability. He wants to look at alternative ways for our students to succeed in life.

For example, looking at vocational career opportunities for students who aren’t college bound. He wants to work with other board members to find ways to improve our test scores and other matters within our school system. Glenn may not be up on all the latest things going on in Kentucky’s schools, but he has the time to invest in learning all he can about it. He’s been actively communicating with friends in the education field in Orlando, Florida, where he used to live. So, please consider voting for Glenn Ball, candidate for the Danville school board.
