I am writing in support of two candidates for Danville Board of Education, Paul Smiley and Steve Becker. While I was principal of John W. Bate Middle School, these two gentlemen were serving on the Danville board. They served with integrity and always with the best interest of all students in mind. They listened to the concerns of employees, parents and students. As an employee, I felt I could approach both men with my questions, concerns and suggestions. The attitude they brought to the district was teamwork, concern for all students and employees and desire to meet the needs of all the students in the district.

I also had the pleasure of working with Mr. Smiley on the Danville City Commission. He was thoughtful and deliberate in his decision making. He was a consensus builder on the commission with a calm, friendly demeanor no matter how difficult the discussion. 

These men would bring board experience, sincere concern for success of the students and the district and a passion for the Danville Schools. Please vote for Paul Smiley and Steve Becker for Danville Board of Education.
