Episcopal church to hold annual lunch as benefit
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of Trinity Episcopal Church will host its annual luncheon from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in the parish hall at the church at 320 W. Main St., Danville.
Attendees will be able to choose from an array of salads, soups, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks.
Cost is $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Carryout will be available.
Tickets and more information about the luncheon are available at the church office or by calling (859) 236-3374.
Proceeds from this year’s ECW luncheon will be divided between Trinity’s Building Preservation Fund and the Well of Lexington, an organization that helps area women live free from sexual exploitation, addiction and homelessness.
Food sale Saturday
Hope Full Gospel Church will have a chitterling, fish and chicken sale 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 193 E. Martin Luther King. Call (859) 238-0192 for orders.
The Daltons to sing
The Daltons from Somerset will be singing at Pleasant Run Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct 14 at 6 p.m. Jr Fields is the pastor.
Chimney Rock Boys in concert
The Chimney Rock Boys will be in concert on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. at Drakes Creek Baptist Church, 4435 Hwy. 39 North, Crab Orchard. Everyone welcome. Wayne Stephens, pastor.
Fish Fry
Fairview Christian Church, Paint Lick will have a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. The meal includes fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, fries and dessert with drink, $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
Annual meeting of The South District Baptist Association
The South District Baptist Association will conduct its annual meeting on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15 and 16. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the meeting will start at 6:45 p.m. Monday’s meeting will be at Doctor’s Fork Baptist Church and Tuesday’s at New Journey Baptist Church.
