News release
Kentucky Extension Homemakers are firmly rooted in community service with more than 14,000 members contributing more than 300,000 volunteer hours for Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service-sponsored activities. The Boyle County Extension Homemakers contribute to these volunteer hours as well as financial contributions such as donations to local organizations to support Danville and Boyle County communities.

Funds earned by the Extension Homemakers through the Jane Gessaman Memorial Fabric Sale are used to give back to this community. This year, the Boyle County Extension Homemakers were able to donate a total of $2,000 across six local organizations which do a variety of outreach in Boyle County. These charitable organizations include Danville-Boyle County Happy Feet, The Glady’s Project, The Shepherd’s House, Boy Scout Troop 27, Forkland Community Center, and Celebrate Recovery. The Boyle County Extension Homemakers would like to thank these organizations for the work they have done and will continue to do.
