I’d like to take this time and say a few things about our county attorney, Lynne Dean.

First, she is a wonderful person. When I see her out of the courthouse, she is always very nice and asks how myself and my family is doing. That makes me feel like she cares about the people of Boyle County and will always do the right thing as a county attorney.

Now, on a personal involvement in the courtroom, I can honestly say that she was always very fair to my sons. I have two sons that had gotten into situations that landed them in jail and they were both falsely accused of similar charges.

Mrs. Dean took the time to listen and get all the facts in the case. If she didn’t, they both would of ended up with jail time for something they didn’t do. I was very grateful to her for being fair but most of all just for caring.

To have a county attorney like Lynne Dean in Boyle County means a lot to me and I’m sure it means a lot to even more people than myself.

I’ve had people tell me that if it wasn’t for her they would of gotten more time in jail than they did and then we swap stories concerning our dealings with her, Mrs. Dean.

I’m sure there’s some who dislike Mrs. Dean for some reason, probably because she was only doing her job, which she does well.

I had to have a talk with my own son concerning some decisions. She had no choice to make in family court and let him know that he couldn’t blame her for the choices he made, that she has a job to do and she was doing what she was supposed to do.

My son used to feel angry with her and not even want to speak to her but now that he’s realized that she has a job to do and if he wasn’t doing things to end up in court, that he wouldn’t even have to deal with that kind of thing.

What I’m trying to say is, no one should be mad at Mrs. Dean, the judges or anyone for doing their job.

I just pray that we (Boyle County) can keep Lynne Dean as county attorney for a very long time.
