Meetings
Danville City Commission — noon Tuesday, Nov. 6 for special called meeting for a resolution to approve deeds and closing statements for acquisition of 451 and 461 W. Main St., properties purchased to build a new central fire station on.
Garden Club of Danville – 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Boyle County Extension Service, 99 Corporate Drive. The program will be “The McDowell House Museum and our December Green Tea.” The speaker will be garden club member Linda Taylor. She will take the mystery out of making arrangements and will enlighten us with information about decorating materials appropriate to the early 19th-century period of the McDowell House. Solid Waste/Recycle Committee and Animal Control Committee — both meetings have been changed to Nov. 13. Solid Waste will meet at 1:30 p.m. at 1862 South Danville Bypass. Animal control will meet at 2:30 p.m. at 777 North Danville Bypass.
Community Blood Drive
The City of Danville Community Blood Drive will be held at the library on Wednesday, November 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the library. Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) is encouraging Kentuckians to roll up their sleeves, donate blood, and help Kentucky patients. November Traffic Safety Checkpoints
Kentucky State Police Post Seven will be conducting safety traffic checkpoints in the Post Seven area. Effective immediately, the following locations are approved Traffic Safety Checkpoint Locations for the Post 7 District. At these checkpoints troopers will be targeting impaired drivers, checking for properly restrained adults and children and observing for any other safety violations.
