Amos Corbin Sharp, 78, of Sharp Road, Lancaster, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on his farm in Garrard County on April 14,1940 to the late Herbert Prather and Julia “Mae” Graham Sharp.

Amos is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice Royalty Sharp. Along with Janice, Amos is survived by his daughter, Felicia Sharp Madden and her husband, William.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Herbert Sharp, Jr.

Amos was a farmer his entire life, with a harvest including tobacco, corn, hay, and wheat. He had a dairy on the farm until the late 1980’s, and continued raising beef cattle thereafter. He was a graduate of Camp Dick Robinson High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Amos was an avid Nascar fan, David Pearson being his favorite. He also loved fishing, rook card playing and traveling to the Great Smokey Mountains. Above all, Amos loved his faith and his family. He was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church of Danville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. with funeral services officiated by Bros. Odis Clark and Mike Crowe on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville.

Pallbearers are Robert Ballard, Mark Cole, Chris Cornish, Justin Greene, Mark Lanham, Danny League, Tim Russell and Allyn Sharp. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Allen, Joe Brogle, Ben Brogle, Paul Brogle, Harold Brogli, Michael Cole, Rodney Greene and Gary Lane. www.spurlinfuneralhomelancaster.com
