Our featured pets this week are Tabitha and Daisy.
Tabitha is a pretty five-month-old Russian Blue kitty. She was found as a stray but is very friendly and is happy to be handled and carried about. Tabitha has large expressive eyes and a soft steel gray coat. She would prefer to be an only kitty so she can have all your attention. If you’re looking for a great companion that will double as a snuggly lap-warmer during the winter months, then Tabitha may be your purrfect pet.
Daisy is a sweet and gentle mixed breed dog. She was a stray and her owner has not been found so she is now ready for a fresh start. Daisy looks like she may be part Retriever and has interesting coloring with a mostly white coat with dark markings on her face and brown on her lower legs. Daisy is a real sweetheart. She does well on leash and has a calm demeanor. Daisy will make a great addition to her new forever family.
PetSmart Charities is sponsoring a National Adoption Event this weekend. The DBCHS will be participating at our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart on Hwy 27 just north of Nicholasville. The event will feature many adorable kitties, puppies and dogs in need of loving forever homes. Come and visit our animals at PetSmart in Brannon Crossing on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. If you are considering adding a new pet to your family, this will be the perfect opportunity to find your new best friend.
The DBCHS is having our annual fundraiser called Pints for Pets Pup Crawl on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. in downtown Danville. Purchase a cool T-shirt and wear it the night of the event. You’ll have the chance to win awesome raffle prizes and enjoy specials at Danville’s downtown establishments. Shirts can be ordered online at www.dbchs.org.
