Mercer student calls in bomb threat, police say

HARRODSBURG — A Mercer County student was cited for calling in a bomb threat on Wednesday.
At 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Harrodsburg Police and Fire Department responded to a bomb threat that was called in at the Mercer County School bus garage. According to police, the roads surrounding the schools were blocked for about an hour.
An investigation led to a student being cited for first-degree terroristic threatening. The student was released to parents, as directed by the Mercer County Court Designated Worker.
