Minnie Lee McDaniel

1934-2018

Minnie Lee McDaniel, 84, widow of James Russell McDaniel, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Born April 9, 1934, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of Henderson and Amanda Hunt Goins. Minnie was employed by Palm Beach as a presser and was an avid gardener. She was a member of Danville Church of The Nazarene.

She is survived by a son, David Earl (Monica) McDaniel of Danville; two daughters, Patricia Patterson and Linda Morton, of Danville; her brothers, Rev. Henderson Goins, Jr., Franklin, Tenn. and James Chester Goins of Terre Haute, Indiana; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Lee McDaniel; her sister, Laverne; and brothers, J.P. Goins, Albert Lee Goins, Charles “Pete” Edward Goins, Gilbert Goins and George William Goins.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Rev. Buford Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home, 318 W. Broadway, Danville.
