Leaf pick-up schedule for this week

Danville’s Public Works Department continues leaf pick-up Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 19-21, in areas 1-4 (the Lexington Avenue corridor).

The schedule and list of collection areas by street name may be viewed on the city’s website, www.danvilleky.org. There will be no pick-up on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22-23, in observance of Thanksgiving.

Meeting

Danville Architectural Heritage Board — 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Danville City Hall commission conference room. Items on the agenda include: hear the staff approvals of certificates of appropriateness for 135 North Third St., for work on facade; 131 North Fourth St. for work on Gypsy Run Brewery entrance; and 116 East Main St, for placement of three signs on property. The board will also hear requests for certificates of appropriateness for 104 Larrimore Lane to add a gabled entrance with column support to the Beer Engine entrance; and 135 North Second St., Sister Cities Commission to add an attribution and mural name to the previously approved mural and for the insertion of a black border and the name “DIVERSITEA” to be added to the left hand side of the mural.
