On Tuesday, Emergency Management Director Mike Wilder said the three people in a passenger car that was struck have been identified as Melissa Coyle, 66, of Danville, who was the driver; and a backseat passenger, Dawn Coyle, whose age and address were not known.

The front seat passenger, Ella Mae Wilson, 86, of Junction City died upon impact, Wilder said. She was wearing a seatbelt.

Wilder did not know the name of the driver of the truck that struck the passenger vehicle, but he said he doesn’t believe the driver was injured.

The accident occurred about 5:40 Monday night at the intersection of Shelby Street and U.S. 127 in Junction City. Junction City Police and Fire responded, along with Boyle County Fire and Sheriffs, as well as Boyle County Coroner’s Office and Emergency Management.

The Junction City Police Department is investigating the wreck.
