Tony Lynn Cornelius

1954-2018

Tony Lynn Cornelius, 64, of Stanford, passed away Thursday, November 29, at the Stanford Care & Rehab. Tony was born in Garrard County, on November 19, 1954. He was a son of the late Cecil and Willa Mae (Shearer) Cornelius. He had worked as a mechanic and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sons, Jamie L. Cornelius of Stanford and Anthony Cornelius and wife Melissa of Waynesburg; step-daughter, Stacy Godbey of Stanford; brother, Terry Cornelius; two grandchildren, Kody and Hunter Cornelius; two step-grandchildren, Tremane Alcorn and Derek Jones.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Dailey.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. David Conrades officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Fairview Baptist Church and after 9 a.m., on Saturday prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Aaron Brown, James Hunt, Rodney Ward, Ron Stevens, Donnie Patterson and Eugene Shearer. Honorary pallbearers: Wayne Cox, Kody and Hunter Cornelius, Tremane Alcorn and Derek Jones.
