hand in front of Boyle County Circuit Court Judge Darren Peckler and took the oath of office inside of McDonald’s on Perryville Road. Watching Sammons were about 10 of his friends who meet there six mornings a week, along with other folks who were having breakfast.

After the brief ceremony, the men gathered around their usual tables, sipped on coffee and talked about local happenings and current events. Standing back and watching her husband and his friends, Glenna Sammons said she never has been a part of the group of men. “This is new to me,” she said. “Phil says this is his office. So this is the first time I’ve been to Phil’s office.”
