McDowell Place residents visit Toyota plant

McDowell Place residents toured the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Georgetown. The residents rode through the plant with their tour guide on a shuttle and witnessed cars being made from start to finish. They enjoyed the very informative tour. Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) is Toyota’s largest vehicle manufacturing plant in the world, annually capable of producing 550,000 vehicles and more than 600,000 engines. Since 1988, more than 11 million vehicles have rolled off Toyota’s assembly lines in Georgetown, where full-time employment is more than 8,000.
