Lunch with the Arts: Dick Domek (ragtime piano), noon-1 p.m. Jan. 16 at CAC, Danville. Dick Domek is pianist and music director for the Walnut Street Ramblers. Originally from Chicago, he started playing piano at an early age; he learned ragtime and jazz from recordings, sheet music, and working with other musicians. Cost is $5/$3 for students.

Perryville Jamboree, 5:30-10 p.m. Saturdays at 103 N. Bragg St. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and is served until 7 p.m. Entertainment by Kentucky South with guest performers. Cover is $10. VISUAL ART

Growing Perspective, an exhibition by Matthew Kooster, through Saturday at CAC, Danville. Klooster is assistant professor of biology at Centre College. His paintings reflect an intentional effort to interweave his agricultural roots with an attentiveness to the natural world and an unconditional love for nurturing his children. Visual Puns, photographs by Milton Scarborough, is also on exhibit. Scarborough is professor emeritus of philosophy and religion at Centre College. Music Mini Camp, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 5 at CAC, Danville. Open to ages 9-14, campers will spend the day making music with the Danville Children’s Choir. DCC Director Emily Roberts will lead students through a fun-filled day of musical exploration with an emphasis on singing. Cost is $40.

Starry Night Studio: Northern Lights, 7-9 p.m. Jan. 8 at CAC, Danville. Capture the magic of the Northern Lights in this beautiful painting. No previous experience is required. Cost is $28.

Drawing 102: 6:30-8 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 14-Feb. 4 at CAC, Danville. For ages 14+, ready to take your drawing skills to the next level? Join Creative Director Brandon Long for this four-week skill-building class. This class builds on the topics of Drawing 101, but the previous course is not a prerequisite for enrollment. Cost is $60.

Wheel-Thrown Pottery (daytime), 10 a.m.-noon Tuesdays, Jan. 15-Feb. 26 at CAC, Danville. For ages 14+, this flexible class is appropriate for potters of all experience levels. Whether you’re a total beginner looking to explore the creative potential of clay or an experience potter interested in refining your technique, this workshop-style class provides lots of opportunity for individual instruction. Cost is $160.

Art Adventures, 11 a.m.-noon Tuesdays, Jan. 15-Feb. 5 at CAC, Danville. For ages 3-5, drop your aspiring artist for an hour of creative arts exploration with new projects each week designed to introduce children to a range of media and techniques. Cost is $40.

Art of Manners, 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 15-Feb. 5 at CAC, Danville. For age 5 to fifth-graders, students will learn about conversation tips & compliments, table manners & table settings, and thank-you cards. Cost is $40.

Kids Visual Arts (session 4), 4-5 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 16-Feb. 6 at CAC, Danville. For grades PreK4 to third, an elementary visual arts class where students will be introduced to a range of artistic styles and mediums as learning about famous artists and their work. Cost is $40.

Homeschool Music, 11 a.m.-noon Thursdays, Jan. 17-Feb. 21 at CAC, Danville. Grades K-8 join us for a six-week exploration of music theory and practice. Details are still forming but this will be a fun, hands-on class that introduces several different musical style and instruments. Cost is $60.

Elements of Painting (for Kids), 4-5 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 17-Feb. 7 at CAC, Danville. For grades 4-8, a four-week class where students will be introduced to the fundamental techniques of acrylic painting, including color mixing, shading, brush strokes, and more. Cost is $40.

Kids Art + Yoga, 9:30-11 a.m. Saturdays, Jan. 19-Feb. 9 at CAC, Danville. For grades K-5, students will learn how to connect mind and body through art and movement. Each week, children will spend time relaxing their minds and bodies through yoga, then create some intuitive, free-flowing artwork. Students should bring a yoga mat or towel to class. Cost is $60.

Hand-Lettering Workshop, 6-8 p.m. Jan. 22 at CAC, Danville. In this class, you will learn the basics of hand lettering including typography, pairing different lettering styles, making compositions, and more. Cost is $20.

Intro to Printmaking, 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 24-Feb. 28 at CAC, Danville. For teens and adults, this beginner-level class introduces students to the basics of printmaking, including image selection, block preparation and carving, and image transfer techniques. No drawing experience is required for this class. Cost is $140.

Cotillion Class, 6:30-8 p.m. Fridays through February, and March 15 and 22 at CAC, Danville. For sixth-eighth grades, introduce a new generation to this charming Southern tradition. Led by Whitney Thomas, owner and director of Danville Dance Company. Cost is $100.
