Mercer grand jury hands up indictments on 14

The following people were indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on Dec. 12:
• Kerry Carr, 40, Harrodsburg: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a plea hearing. Bail was set at $5,000. Kari Wilson testified for the Commonwealth.
• Bridgett Hopkins, 28, Crab Orchard: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a status hearing. Bail was set at $5,000 and Wilson testified.
• Carl Lawrence, 45, Harrodsburg: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a status hearing. Bail was set at $5,000 and Wilson testified.
• Charles Lawrence, 21, Harrodsburg: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a pretrial hearing. Bail was set at $5,000 and Wilson testified.
• Samantha Followell, 29, Danville: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a pretrial conference. Bail was set at $5,000 and Wilson testified.
• Paul Cox, 50, Danville: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for final sentencing. Bail was set at $5,000 and Wilson testified.
• Anthony Farmer, 51, Harrodsburg: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a pretrial hearing. Bail was set at $5,000 and Wilson testified.
• Heather Cornish, 28, Harrodsburg: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia, scales. Bail was set at $10,000 and TJ Godbey Jr. with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Mark Stinnett, 27, Harrodsburg: second-degree escape by failing to return to the Boyle County Detention Center as ordered by a judge. Bail was set at $5,000. Wes Gaddis with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office testified.
• Jaron Taylor, 23, Louisville: third-degree burglary by unlawfully entering Walmart; theft by unlawful taking of property valued less than $500. Bail was set at $5,000 ant T. Smith with the HPD testified.
• Brandon Pelfrey, 33, Harrodsburg: driving on a DUI suspended license; no insurance card. Bail was set at $5,000. Scot Elder with the MCSO testified.
• Jamie Williams, 33, Harrodsburg: first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot after committing an act of domestic violence; first-degree unlawful imprisonment; fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $10,000 and Elder testified.
• Bobby Payne Jr., 52, Harrodsburg: first-degree wanton endangerment when he pointed a loaded firearm at a female; carrying a concealed deadly weapon; resisting arrest. Bail was set at $5,000 and Godbey testified.
• Sherry Minor, 58, Harrodsburg: persistent felony offender in possession of a forged check for $400. Bail was set at $20,000 and Elder testified.
