Our featured pets this week are Mister and Ruby.
Mister is a sweet 1-year-old gray and white domestic short hair. His owner was not able to keep and care for him, so he was surrendered to the humane society in October. Mister has the cutest face with a gray smudge on his nose and spot on his chin and bright golden eyes. Mister has a great personality. He is ready to greet you with a cute little “meow” and will give you his undivided attention during a visit. Mister would love to start the new year in a new forever home.
Ruby is a sweetheart of a girl. She is a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix that weighs 45 lbs. She has a cute appearance, with a stout body and short legs. Ruby is blue-gray in color with lots of white markings and plenty of cute freckles on her face. Ruby was surrendered to the humane society due to her previous owner’s lack of time to care for a dog. Ruby thinks she is a lap dog, she loves to snuggle and give kisses. If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion, come meet Ruby and see if she’s your perfect match.
Ring in the New Year by giving yourself and your dog a great gift and attend our next DBCHS sponsored obedience class. It is this Saturday at 12:30 at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership garage on the 127 Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to join in for a small donation to the Humane Society. If you would like to attend please pre-register for the class by emailing dbchs@bellsouth.net or you may call the Humane Society at (859) 238-1117. Space is limited so please sign up by Friday at noon. We hope to see you on Saturday.
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
