Morgan Sallee most outstanding for Ads at Whitley

Morgan Sallee was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at Whitley County’s “Battle of the Burg” on Dec. 29.
Sallee, wrestling at 113 pounds, placed first in his weight class to lead the Admirals to a second-place finish as a team.
Teammate Caleb Campbell placed first at 132 pounds; Micah Chappell placed second at 120 pounds; Christian Poynter (138) and Spencer Updike (220) each placed third; Kaden McWilliams (170) and Pierce Haines (285) each placed fourth; Tayshawn Lyttle placed fifth at 126 pounds and Colby Stevenson placed sixth at 182 pounds.
“Overall, a pretty good weekend for us,” head coach Joey Sallee said. “Everyone is finally healthy, and we seem to be settling into the weight classes we need to be in. I told them to enjoy the moment, and then we get back to work on Monday. We will head to the Tates Creek Invitational next Saturday.”
