Choir organization invites anyone interested to come out, share voice

The umbrella organization for three area choirs, Danville Sings, invites those of all ages and talent ranges out to see if they’d like to join.

The Danville Children’s Choir begins rehearsals 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, 339 W. Lexington Ave. New members, in grades third through 12th, are invited to come participate.

Resonance, Danville’s men’s choir, will begin their spring season with an open rehearsal for new and returning singers 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7 in the choir room of First Christian Church, at 555 E. Lexington Ave.

Sounding Joy, Danville’s women’s choir, will hold an open rehearsal for new and returning members 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 in Grant 114 in the Norton Center for the Arts.

Danville Sings, the umbrella organization for these choirs, with its fiscal sponsor the Community Arts Center, hopes to make Danville the most songful town in Kentucky.
