Deva Mullins

1920-2018

Deva Mullins, 98, of Yosemite, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018.

She was born in Argyle, Kentucky on December 2, 1920, daughter of the late Elmer and Grace Drostie Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley Oak Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Lonnie (Bobbye) Mullins and Terry (Jeanie) Mullins, both of Yosemite; four daughters, Betty (Charlie) Rader of Yosemite, Brenda (David) Stringer of Eubank, Sandra (Ronald) Peterson of Morrow, Ohio and Karen Pyles of Somerset; one brother, Kenneth Martin of Louisville; nine grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ellis Mullins; her parents; one brother, Lester Martin; four sisters, Doreen Wesley, Alene Godbey, Mildred Cravens and Lucille Goldsby; son-in-law, Don Pyles; and one grandson, Joshua Mullins.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Valley Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Thompson and Bro. Larry Martin officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after noon Saturday at Valley Oak Baptist Church.

The family requests donations be made to the Piney Grove Cemetery Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
