Gladys Project has grown in two and a half years

As 2018 has ended and we begin 2019, The Gladys Project would like to thank everyone who has helped us in our two and a half years of serving our community. We are a free early childhood learning program with the goal of having every child meet educational benchmarks when entering kindergarten.
We try to accomplish this through weekly 30-minute sessions with the child and their caregiver. Not only does the child (ages 0-5) benefit but the adult does as well, by observing and participating in these sessions and incorporating what they learn at home.
We started with two families and are now serving 17 children within 13 families. We could not have accomplished this without the continued support of the Heart of Kentucky United Way, The Presbyterian Church and the Housing Authority of Danville and their belief in our mission.
We have also been fortunate to receive funds from the Lil’ Cherubs, Mazda/Stuart Powell, Bluegrass Community/Hudson Ellis Foundation, Boyle County Homemakers and most recently we were the recipient of the Sounding Joy and Resonance choirs’ Christmas concert donations.
Additionally, we have received books and supplies from iMoms, along with individual community members donating money and books.
We are looking forward to the New Year and continued growth in our program. If you would like to donate, volunteer and/or learn more about our program, please contact us at thegladysproject@gmail.com, (859) 209-1618 or on Facebook.
