Garrard County grand jury hands up indictments on 11

The following people were indicted by a Garrard County grand jury on Dec. 14:

• Michael Reeves, 23, Lancaster: two counts receiving stolen property valued more than $10,000 (vehicles); two counts obscuring a vehicle’s identification number, with a value more than $10,000; obscuring a vehicle’s identification number, with a value more than $500. A summons was issued. Detective Spurlock with the Kentucky State Police testified.

• Nathan Rankin, 36, Lancaster: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana; second-degree possession of a controlled substance, Suboxone. Bail was set at $2,500 cash. Officer Tudor with the Lancaster Police Department testified.

• Charles J. Lear, 36, Lancaster: receiving stolen property valued more than $500 when he received two televisions; second-degree criminal trespassing when he entered a building owned by Caywood Metcalf. Bail was set at $1,000 cash and Tudor testified.

• Sydney Harper, 23, Lancaster: second-degree attempted burglary; second-degree wanton endangerment of an officer; menacing; disorderly conduct by fighting or engaging in threatening behavior in public; alcohol intoxication; resisting arrest; second-degree criminal mischief; second-degree assault. Bail was set at $5,000 cash and Tudor testified.

• Alando Chappell, 38, Berea: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 and Tudor testified.

• Christopher Bray, 35, Stanford: resisting arrest; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; first-degree burglary; possession of burglary tools; first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $10,000 cash and Tudor testified.

• Misty Daniel, 36, Richmond: second-degree burglary; two counts theft by unlawful taking of property valued less than $500. Bail was set at $5,000 cash. Officer Napier with the Garrard County Police Department testified.

• Gary Cowan, 38, Richmond: two counts second-degree burglary; criminal attempt of theft by unlawful taking of property valued less than $500; theft by unlawful taking of property valued less than $500; third-degree possession of a controlled substance, Lorazepam. Bail was set at $10,000 cash and Napier testified.

• David Fisher, 45, Lexington: flagrant nonsupport of more than $1,000. Bail was set at $11,000. Office of Child Support testified.

• Asa Workman, 34, Nicholasville: flagrant nonsupport more than $1,000. A summons was issued and Crystal Pittman testified.

• Jack Wright, 28, Nicholasville: five counts first-degree sexual abuse when he subjected a child younger than 12 to sexual contact. Bail was set at $10,000 cash. Detective Hall with Kentucky State police testified.
