Turner Cell “Teke” Propes Jr., 54, of Junction City, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019.

He was born on June 7,1964, in Danville, Ky., to Eva Coontz Propes of Junction City and the late Turner Cell “T.C.” Propes Sr. Teke was a loving son, father, brother and uncle. He was the owner/operator of J.R.’s Tree Service. His motto was “I live life to the fullest”, which he did, and his passion was hunting, riding his Harley, going mudding with his son and trimming trees. His heart had no boundaries for his kids, nieces, nephews and any other child that he met.

Teke is survived by his mother; son, Turner Cell “T.J.” Propes III and daughter, Eva DeeVon Stevens; sisters, Denita “Sissy” Propes (Steve), nieces, April and Anna, sister, Edna “Bonnie” Propes Owens (Theron), nephews, Joshua and Jacob and sister, Jennifer Propes White (John), nieces and nephews, Raven, Aubrey, Cullen and Roxanne. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. on Thursday and funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Raymond Float will officiate. Burial will be in the Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Turner Cell “T.J.” Propes III, Cullen White, Jacob Owens, Joshua Owens, Steve Johnson, Isaac Hardwick, Little Bob Wilson, Ethan White and Noah Mayes. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Byrd, Brian Byrd and Robert Peavey.
