McConnell is ‘worst of the worst’

I have a really hard time taking anything Mitch McConnell says seriously. At a time when our political system is so dysfunctional because of tribalism, McConnell is the worst of the worst.

On the night of President Obama’s first inauguration McConnell and his Republican sycophants met and declared war on the nascent Obama administration. Every proposal, no matter how beneficial to America, was to be opposed. No Republican was allowed to cooperate on any issue no matter how dire the situation.

When the economy went into deep recession because of the excesses of the Bush administration, no Republican voted for the investment needed to avoid the financial abyss that yawned before us. Mitch and his cronies would have rather the economy have gone into a depression before they would allow the nation’s first black president to get any credit for avoiding it. They tried to make President Obama’s eight years a living hell and they largely succeeded. Stealing the Merrick Garland SCOTUS nomination was merely one of the many foul and despicable measures taken by McConnell and his henchmen.

So now we have had two years of Republican rule and what a time it has been. We have a so-called president who has told thousands of lies and who has no more idea of how to run a country than a 6-year old does. McConnell crows about the “middle class tax cut” which was, of course, no such thing. Practically all of the benefits went to the top 1 percent and the large corporations. The poor and the middle class got the shaft and the rich got the gravy!

The federal government has been shut down for over a month because of the petulance of the so-called president over his border wall — you know, the one he promised that Mexico would pay for? Almost 1 million government employees are not getting their paychecks because of the peevishness of the man-child squatting in the White House. Remember that he declared that he “was glad to shut down the government” and that he would “take the blame” and that he would “not blame the Democrats.” Of course, like almost everything else he says, that was a lie! Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram and Rush Limbaugh told him that he HAD to build the wall and he always does what Faux Noise tells him to do whether it makes any sense or not!
