EMHCF Happy Heart luncheon
To raise awareness of how women can reduce their risks for heart disease, the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation (EMHCF) is offering its eighth annual Happy Heart luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 7, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Showroom, 2405 Lebanon Road, Danville.
The Happy Heart Luncheon will include a presentation on heart health by cardiologist Hussam Hamdalla, M.D. The feature presentation will be by Corporal Matthew Bradford USMC (Ret.), the first blinded amputee to re-enlist in the Marine Corps.
Guests will receive lunch, catered by Wild Thyme, and will be entered into a drawing to win door prizes.
Heart disease is the nation’s number one killer of women. Nearly half a million women will lose their life to the disease this year — that’s approximately one death per minute.
Tickets are limited to this event and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased by calling (859) 239-2419 or by visiting emhealth.org/foundation/happy-heart-luncheon.
