Elsa is a precious 4-month-old tortoiseshell kitten. She was found by a kind citizen who brought her to the humane society, so she would be safe. Elsa was a little shy at first but is now feeling more comfortable. She is a friendly little girl and gets along fine with her kennelmate. Elsa is a pretty kitten with big inquisitive eyes. She is ready to get lots of love from her forever family and she is sure to bring plenty of joy in return. Sugar is a pretty little Sheltie mix. She was also a stray, but her owner has not been found. So, she is ready for a fresh start. Sugar weighs 25 pounds and has a silky red coat and sparkly eyes. Sugar is very sweet and has been a quiet girl here at the humane society. She seems to get along well with everyone and does great sharing her kennel with another dog. Sugar deserves a loving indoor home where she will get all the attention that she deserves.

We are often asked what items are on our wish list to help us care for the animals. Cleaning products that are used every day include paper towels, liquid laundry detergent, bleach, Pine-Sol, dish soap, hand sanitizer and hand soap. Currently our biggest need for the cats is clumping cat litter. The humane society also needs dog collars and leashes along with toys for both the dogs and kitties. Monetary donations are always appreciated and will be used where most needed to help the animals.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
