David Eugene Dickerson

1949-2019

David Eugene Dickerson, 69, of Hustonville passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Born March 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Donald Keith and Kathryn Louise Brummet Dickerson. He retired after 33 years with Lincoln County Schools where he was a music teacher. David was an active member of Hustonville Christian Church and he served as a Boy Scout Leader for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Martha “Marti” Richeson Dickerson; three daughters, Megan (Jeff) Smothers of Nicholasville, Kristen (Robert) Allen of Oklahoma and Lauren (Jason) Smith of Hustonville; two brothers, Dale (Susie) Dickerson of Virginia and Brian (Fonda) Dickerson of Ohio; and seven grandchildren, McKenzie Smothers, Renee Smothers, Paige Allen, Savannah Allen, Whitney Smith, Braxton Smith and Oliver Smith.

Visitation is 3-7 p.m., Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland. Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Bob Shaw officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Danny Watson, Robert Allen, John Miller, McKenzie Smothers, J.T. Durden, Andy Naylor, Jason Smith and Jeff Smothers.
