DBCHS, Pets of the week Feb. 20

Published 4:44 pm Tuesday, February 19, 2019

Our featured pets for this week are Timmy and Teddy.

Timmy is a lovable 7-month-old tabby kitten. It’s hard to believe that when Timmy came to the humane society last September, along with his mom and siblings, he weighed less than one pound. For some unexplainable reason Timmy has not found his permanent home yet, but hopefully now is the time. Timmy is charming and playful. He sometimes acts more like a puppy as he follows people around and wants to be right in their pocket. Wouldn’t you love to give Timmy the home with the love and attention that he most certainly deserves?

           Timmy

Teddy is a wonderful 6-and-a-half-year-old lab mix. He is a bit on the chubby side and weighs over 100 pounds so he will benefit from a proper diet and exercise. Teddy always has a big smile on his face that matches his cheerful personality. Teddy was surrendered by his owners as they were not able keep him. He has had quite a lot of training and does well on a leash. Teddy does not get along with some dogs so will do best as the only dog in the home. If you are looking for a settled, older dog to be your forever companion, come and meet this sweet and handsome fellow.

PetSmart Charities is sponsoring a National Adoption Event this weekend. The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society will be participating at our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart on Hwy 27 just north of Nicholasville. We will have beautiful kittens, puppies, cats and dogs at the store on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. If you are interested in adding a new pet to your home, this will be a wonderful opportunity to find your perfect match.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
