Chitterlings, fish and chicken sale
Hope Full Gospel Church will hold a chitterlings, fish and chicken sale on Saturday, March 9 starting at 12:30 p.m. The sale is being held at 193 E Martin Luther King St. Call (859) 238-0192 to place any orders.
Higginbothams to sing at Mount Salem
The Higginbothams from Russell County will be singing at Mount Salem Baptist Church on Sunday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Event for Russia mission trip
For the first time in 11 years, Junction City First Baptist Church is sending a mission team to Russia. This trip will be in memory of Lawrence Kendrick and Steve Fegenbush, men who devoted their lives to serving others here and abroad.
To ensure a team can be sent out to fulfill the mission God laid on their hearts, a night of worship and a fundraiser dinner will be hosted on March 23 at 6 p.m. at Junction City First Baptist Church.
Tickets are a $10 donation before or a $15 donation at the door. Contact the church for tickets at (859) 854-3253.
The night will be devoted to hearing more about these two men, their hearts for God and the work being done to spread the gospel in Russia through partner churches there. A meal will also be served.
Bethel Church to hold fellowship service
Bishop Larry Weathers Sr. and congregation of Vision Church of Holiness will be guests on Sunday, March 10 at 4 p.m. at Bethel Church in Nicholasville for a fellowship service. The church is located at 109 N. York St.
Lincoln County Woman’s Missionary Union to hold Spring Rally
The Lincoln County Woman’s Missionary Union Spring Rally will be held Tuesday, March 12 at Willow Grove Baptist Church, 4306 Hwy 150 between Stanford and Danville. A light supper will be served at 6 p.m. in the basement fellowship hall. The rally will begin at 6:45 p.m. upstairs in the sanctuary.
Kim Brown Jones of Stanford will be speaking about her mission trip to Kenya and the miraculous dream that God used to lead her to Brighton, a child in the OVI Children’s Hospital in Migori, Kenya. The Spring Mission Project is collecting donations for the OVI hospital to buy baby formula. Donations can be brought to the rally or taken to the Lincoln County Baptist Association and designated for WMU — baby formula. Everyone is invited to attend.
