DBCHS Pets of the week, March 20

Published 3:53 pm Tuesday, March 19, 2019

Our featured pets this week are Nara and Griffin.

Nara is a friendly 1-and-a-half-year-old tabby kitty. She was a stray that was brought to the humane society in December along with her three baby kittens. One of our wonderful fosters provided loving care for Nara and her little family until the kittens were ready to be weaned. Nara has a sweet face and a loving and outgoing disposition. One of her kittens is still available for adoption and Nara has now been spayed and is ready to make a great family pet.

            Griffin

              Nara

Griffin is a handsome 9-month-old, medium sized, hound/shepherd mix pup. He was surrendered to the humane society because his owner decided that he didn’t have the time for a young and active dog. Griffin has an intelligent eye and a friendly personality. He knows some basic commands and walks on leash. Griffin has his whole life ahead of him. He is ready and willing to be your best forever friend if you give him the love and attention that he deserves.

Would you like to help the animals at the DBCHS in a very meaningful way? We are recruiting volunteer adoption counselors who will assist potential adopters by answering questions they may have and helping them interact with the dogs and kitties. Training will be provided and is based on the “Adopter Welcome Program” from the Humane Society of the United States. For more information on how you can help with the rewarding work of placing homeless animals with their new forever families please contact us at (859) 238-1117 or email dbchs@bellsouth.net.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
