Casey County grand jury hands up indictments on eight

The following people were indicted by a Casey County grand jury on March 11:

• Jesse D. Galloway, 25, Liberty: second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, drug unspecified; two counts first-degree persistent felony offender; first-degree promoting contraband into the Casey County Detention Center. Bail was set at $5,000. Liberty Police Chief Steven Garrett testified. First-degree promoting contraband into the CCDC; two counts first-degree persistent felony offender; tampering with physical evidence; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, third offense; second-degree possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $7,500 and Garrett testified.

• Warren G. Atwood, 32, Liberty: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, third offense; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,500. Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle testified.

• Ethan C. Whited, 28, Stanford: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, third offense; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,500 and Weddle testified.

• Rabecca Jean Hobbs, 40, Elk Horn: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, third offense; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 and Weddle testified.

• Rachel Leeann Woodrum, 31, Liberty: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, third offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $5,000. Geoff Brown with the CCSO testified.

• Zackery Timothy Cochran, 29, Liberty: second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, unspecified; two counts first-degree persistent felony offender; first-degree promoting contraband into the Casey County Detention Center. Bail was set at $5,000. Liberty Police Chief Steven Garrett testified.

Gregory S. Crew, 40, Liberty: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $10,000 and Weddle testified.

• Billy Joe Miracle, 34, Stanford: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $15,000. Lincoln Lawless with the Kentucky State Police testified.

• Ronnie Frank Parton, 42, Liberty: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, third offense; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bail was set at $10,000. Jayson Grider with the CCSO testified.
