Jacques Robert Brousseau

1971-2019

Jacques Robert Brousseau of Richmond, Virginia passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 21, 2019.

Born November 13, 1971, in Danville, Kentucky, Jacques was the son of Andre Ringgold Brousseau and Linda Woody Brousseau of Danville, Kentucky where he lived with his family until attending Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Following college, Jacque received his MBA at Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management in Nashville, Tennessee. Subsequent to graduate school Jacques was hired as vice president at Genworth Financial where he remained for six years before accepting a position as marketing director at AIG SunAmerica. After two years, he was recruited as National Director of Retirement Income Products at Great-West Financial before returning to AIG to serve as vice president of Annuity Distribution.

Jacques’ most treasured moments were with his family whom he loved sharing both time at home nurturing passions for music, electronics, sports, local hikes and gardening, and on grander adventures traveling and exploring different cities domestically and abroad. One-on-one trips with each of his children was an especial favorite, yet he also savored vacations with his extended family including the joy he experienced spending time with his nieces and nephew. Because Jacques valued fitness, he and his children established a tradition of running with the goal each year of running together in Richmond’s Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. Jacques led a quiet yet beautiful life. He was passionate and successful in his work career and was a loving, devoted father who will forever be cherished by his children and those who knew him.

Jacques is survived by his wife, Adriane Cristina Brousseau; his three children, Madeline Cristina Brousseau, John Alexander Brousseau, and Benjamin Robert Brousseau; his father Andre Ringgold Brousseau; mother, Linda Woody Brousseau; two brothers, Andre R. Brousseau (wife, Heather) and Louis C. Brousseau (wife, Agnus); and two sisters, Mignon L. Brousseau (husband, Erik Drake) and Dominique F. Brousseau.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 12 noon at Preston, Pruitt, Spurlin Funeral Home, 331 South Fourth Street, Danville, KY 40422.
