Boyle Landmark Trust recognizes 301 & 303 West Main Street for historical preservation

Danville – Boyle Landmark Trust presented Mayor Mike Perros two historical plaques for his efforts in historical preservation of 301 and 303 West Main Street. Located in the Danville Commercial District these buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Both structures built circa 1870 in the Italianate style have been the home of various commercial ventures. Previous businesses in 301 West Main included Danville Dry Goods, Spoonamore Drugs, and Palace of Sweets. 303 West Main for over a hundred years (1901-2010) served as a restaurant/pool hall.
