DBCHS, Pets of the week April 3
Published 7:25 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2019
Our featured pets this week are Mittens and Charlotte.
Mittens is a beautiful 1-year-old tabby kitty. She has gorgeous golden eyes and white markings including four white paws. Mittens was a stray, but she is very friendly. She loves attention and is content with chin scratches and petting. Mittens will let you know how happy she is with her steady purr. After a little attention, she is ready for her beauty rest on a soft bed. Mittens will make a lovely and sweet companion for her lucky adopter.
Charlotte is a pretty 3-year-old short-haired shepherd mix. She was surrendered to the humane society because her owner had a new human baby and decided she didn’t have time for a pet. How sad for Charlotte. This girl loves people. She is very active and would do great with an owner who can give her the exercise and attention she needs. Charlotte would benefit from obedience training so she has a “job” where she can excel. Come for a meet and greet and see if this joyful and lively girl is your perfect match.
The Danville-Boyle County offers a free monthly obedience class to help recent dog and puppy adopters get off on the right foot. Our next class is this Saturday at 12:30 at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership garage on the 127 Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to join in for a small donation to the Humane Society. If you would like to attend, please pre-register for the class by emailing dbchs@bellsouth.net or you may call the Humane Society at (859) 238-1117. Space is limited so please sign up by Friday at noon. We hope to see you on Saturday!
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
