Hearthside Cooking with Peggy Ellis was the March program for St. Asaph Chapter of DAR. A roaring fire, and authentic wrought iron and cast iron utensils produced a roast of beef, buttermilk pie, toast, and a cauldron of vegetables that would have been typical of early Kentucky hearths. Many thanks to Peggy and Tom for their informative and warm hospitality.
