Boyle County wrestlers Logan Tuggle (left) and Jackson Burger (right) earned All-American status at the Adidas wrestling nationals in Kansas City over the weekend.

Tuggle, a sophomore at Boyle County, placed third in the 138-pound weight class. It’s his first year at Boyle County.

“He’s been wrestling all offseason, hasn’t missed a tournament. He’s making big improvements lately,” head coach Seth Lucas said.

Burger, a seventh grader, placed seventh in the 112-pound weight class to earn All-American. Fellow middle schooler Andrew McHolan lost in the 123-pound All-American round. Both Burger and McHolan, an eighth grader, wrestled at the varsity level last year.

“They’re following all the right steps. We took Jordan (Bates) down here two years ago, they’re wanting to follow his steps which is just perfect,” Lucas said.
