Potluck meal and Easter egg hunt
Unity Baptist Church of Danville will host a potluck meal and Easter Egg Hunt Wednesday evening, April 17 from 6 to 8 p.m at the large shelter at Millenium Park in Danville. The public is encouraged to attend this family friendly event. Call Carmen Hampton at (859) 319-3143 with any questions.
Community Easter sunrise service
Danville First Church of God, 3220 Harrodsburg Road, is hosting a Community Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 21 at 7 a.m. at the church pavilion. The service will be followed by a potluck breakfast in the church fellowship hall. Call (859) 236-4700 if more information is needed. Everyone welcome!
Services at Hedgeville Baptist Church
Sunday services at Hedgeville Baptist Church, 4700 Lancaster Road, Danville include breakfast at 9 a.m., Sunday School at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m. and evening worship at 6 p.m. The church is also planning an Easter dinner and egg hunt on Sunday, April 14 immediately following the morning service; services on April 17 at 7 p.m., April 18 at 6 p.m. and Friday, April 19 (Good Friday) at 6 p.m.; and on Easter Sunday, April 21, the church will present an Easter cantata (no evening service). Come as you are.
Crossroads Quartet to sing
The Crossroads Quartet will be singing at Mount Salem Baptist Church on Sunday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
Fundraising cookout and Easter egg hunt
Westside Community United Methodist Church and Hustonville Elementary PTO are sponsoring a fundraising cookout and Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 12 to benefit The Westside Community Park and the PTO. The cookout which begins at 6:30 p.m. will consist of hamburgers and hotdogs, chips and drink and is $5 per person or $20 for a family. The Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt will be at dark. Both events are at Westside Community UMC located a 2875 U.S. 127 in Hustonville.
Junction City community Easter Egg Hunt
The Rapha Community Church in Junction City is having an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 13 for children up to age 12 at the Junction City Community Park beginning at 1 p.m.. There will be 10,000 eggs filled with candy, coupons for restaurants and cash, said pastor Tucker Huntsinger. Areas will be designated according to age groups and there will be an area for disabled children to hunt for eggs.
At 1 p.m. games and activities will be open for the children to play and the Easter egg hunt begins at 2 p.m.
April Caring Friends fellowship
The monthly Caring Friends Fellowship Meal and Meeting will be held Sunday, April 14 at Perryville Baptist Church in the fellowship hall, 202 S. Bragg St, Perryville. Serving of the meal will begin at 12:30 p.m. The PBC Praise Team will provide music and give their testimony. They will lead us in a time of preparing our hearts to celebrate Easter. Plan now to join us for a great meal and an inspirational time of worship together. Please invite your widowed friends and neighbors. RSVP to Angie Deering at (859) 516-1618 to let her know if you will be attending. This will be a great help to the ladies of PBC in planning for the meal. Our meeting will end by 2:30 p.m.
