Brayden Pierce Taylor, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Casey County Hospital. He was 13.

Born on August 10, 2005, in Danville, Kentucky, he was a son of Chad and Rachel Pierce Taylor of Liberty. Brayden was a seventh grader at Casey County Middle School. He enjoyed swimming, cars, video games and camping.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Coleton Ray Taylor; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Sharon Pierce of Liberty; paternal grandparents, Butch and Connie Taylor of Harrodsburg; and a paternal great-grandmother, Lucille Streeval of Liberty. Other survivors include aunts and uncles, Shawn (Lori) Pierce and Crystal (Chris) Hunt; and cousins, Austin, Taylor, Natalie, Addison and Landon.

He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Bill and June Cravens, Charles Pierce and Opal Thompson; and paternal great-grandparents, Lilburn and Beulah Taylor and Joe Streeval.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Casey County Middle School gymnasium with Bro. Jeric DeVore officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Casey County Middle School gymnasium.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the UK DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic at 800 Rose St. Suite 400, Lexington, KY 40536.

Pallbearers will be Coleton Taylor, Chris Hunt, Austin Hunt, Taylor Hunt, Shawn Pierce and Landon Pierce.
