Grave marking ceremony

St. Asaph DAR Chapter took part in the KSDAR Grave Marking ceremony for Isaac Shelby’s final resting place, Traveler’s Rest, in Lincoln County. Governor Shelby was Kentucky’s first and sixth Governor, as well as an officer in the American Revolutionary War for Independence from Great Britain. It is an honor for St. Asaph to be a part of this permanent marking of Governor Shelby’s grave site. Representing St. Asaph were members Judy Sieweke, Vice-Regent; Bunny Scutchfield, a direct descendent of Isaac Shelby; Ann Pennington, KSDAR State Registrar and Honorary St. Asaph Regent; and Nancy Ketelhohn, St. Asaph Regent.
