Preschool play time

Hogsett Elementary School’s morning and afternoon preschool classes took a field trip to Millennium Park on Tuesday. The playground area was full of squeals and laughter as children chased each other, slid down slides, climbed across monkey bars and see-sawed.
Danville preschool registration for the 2019-20 school year will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday, May 20 at Calvary Baptist Church.
Preschool requirements include:
• Child must be 4 years old by Aug. 1, 2019. Children may qualify for the preschool program based on family income or eligibility for special needs services.
• Tuition openings are available for 4-year-old children (first come, first served).
• 3-year olds must meet eligibility for special needs services.
• Screenings available for 3- and 4-year-olds.
To register your child for preschool you must bring proof of residency, such as rental agreement or utility bill with address; and proof of income, such as your 2018 W-2 or your previous month’s paycheck stubs.
